When asked about his art and process, Kevin’s response is “With a Bachelor degree in Fine Art and a career in graphic design, I have always looked for ways to channel my creative energy. As a Design Director, everything has to be perfect and polished. So when I have time to get creative for myself, it’s all about getting messy.

With past creative work including altered Polaroids and Lomography, both processes that allowed for imperfections and mishaps, this new work also allows for the unexpected, through the Risograph printmaking process. This “not so perfect” printing method is ripe for discovery and happy accidents.

When designing for limitations in registration, ink coverage and other unexpected obstacles, it allows my illustrations and designs to come to life on the paper in an artful way. My subject matter is inspired by my interests in graphic design, gig posters, tattoo art, typography, tiki, and anything considered low-brow or underground culture. The only rule I follow in creating “no rules!”"
