Crossroads Sour
A reinterpretation of the Gin Sour, the Crossroads Sour is a beautiful blend of sweet, tart, floral, and fruity. Very refreshing!
Ingredients
2 oz. Bright Gin
¾ oz blackberry syrup
¾ oz lime juice
¼ oz Cointreau
1 dash orange bitters
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 lime wheel (for garnish)
2 blackberries (for garnish)
Blackberry Syrup Ingredients
2 cups blackberries
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
Directions
Prep the Blackberry Syrup in advance so it has time to cool
Bring water to a boil. Add the blackberries and turn the heat down to a simmer.
Add blackberries and simmer in water until berries and water are the same color.
Strain out blackberries using a fine mesh strainer.
Add sugar into the liquid and stir until dissolved.
Pour into mason jar and store in refrigerator. (Can last for up to 1 month if stored properly in an airtight container. Syrups, however, will eventually get moldy, so check on it regularly.)
Put all the liquids in a shaker with ice and shake it good!
Double strain into a glass with fresh ice.
Garnish with a lime wheel and two blackberries and enjoy.
